With the current Corona Virus Crisis, Body Balance Nutrition have moved to Telehealth Consults (with face to face consults available if necessary).
Medicare has released New Telehealth Items for people with a valid Medicare Referral, which are Bulk Billed for people with Concession Cards, <16yrs old, or more Vulnerable to COVID-19. Bulk Billed Telehealth Appoinments are approx 20-30mins. For those people requiring extended consultations normal fees apply, or if additional information is required such as meal plans etc, additional fees may apply. Most Private Health Insurance provide rebates for Telehealth as well. Contact your Dietitian for more information.
With social isolation, health risks and increasing anxiety/stress associated with the current climate of change, it can be even more important to maintain your contact with Health Care Providers. If you have concerns about doing a Telehealth consult, please contact your Dietitian to discuss your concerns.
How Telehealth Consults Work:
In most cases you will receive an email with a Link to a Telehealth consult in the days prior to your consult. All you need to do is click on the link and wait for your dietitian to enter the Telehealth consult. No software is required. Alternatively, if you prefer to do a phone consult, your dietitian will phone you. Please be patient if your dietitian is running late, operating via new technology can sometimes have issues!
Some people may have previously set up Zoom, Skype or FaceTime consults, in this case, consultations will run via those platforms.
